This talented young soprano is back in London, UK after postgraduate opera training in Sydney.
Kate, aged 27, is determined to make Classical music and Opera more exciting. She is currently involved in recording projects that are taking her right into her element.
Kate grew up on the Isle of Man singing little celtic songs in Manx Gaelic. Her music tastes span about 800 years - from beautiful plainchant to celtic song and Opera.
Kate has sung internationally at numerous high profile events in the UK and recordings for national radio and television in Europe. She has sung with various groups ensembles (Cantillation, The Renaissance Players, Passionata, The Muses) and Opera Companies (Holland Park Opera, North Sydney Opera, Leeds Youth Opera etc), already has a vast repertoire of opera and oratorio solo roles, and is often engaged as soloist for Chursch and Cathedral masses and private and public recitals.
Kate has sung the National Anthems at Upton Park, Twickenham and the Ajax Stadium, Amsterdam. Has travelled as far as China to sing, raising money for charity wherever she can, Nordoff-Robbins Music therapy being one of her favourites.
Critics have said 'This is a beautiful, pure tone which lends itself to both early music and Opera equally well', 'a fragile but still beautifully warm soprano sound', 'Beautiful voice, Beautiful girl'. ' capable of sounding like a choirboy and then like an opera diva - extraordinary!'
Kate currently has some exciting film and recording projects underway and is in demand as a soloist.
